Looking Back on My First SXSWEdu

After spending four nights and five days in Austin for SXSWEdu and coming home to a fairly warm Chicago evening, I am reminded that there are many things for which I am thankful to have.

  • I am thankful for the opportunity to connect with inspiring educators, students, and entrepreneurs who follow their passions daily.

  • I am thankful to be part of a team at Mobile Makers Academy where we practice what we teach; allowing me time to develop my own craft.

  • I am thankful for Twitter and my trusty (and old-fashioned) notebook as a tools to document my learning aid my personal growth.

  • I am thankful for work trips that allow lunches with former colleagues who are doing awesome things with their own career and family.

  • I am thankful for live music, especially jazz, and even more when it's Dr. Polk playing on piano.

  • I am thankful for my Wholesome and Studio-b3 family for moving stuff forward at record pace.

  • I am thankful for my husband taking care of the house and cat so I could reflect on my passions, reset, and run along the Lady Bird Trail.

Looking up too.
